D6 Conference Interview 2
Jimmy – Why should should someone attend the D6 Conference?
Matt – If you are concerned about the spreading of the gospel to unreached peoples and those who live in creative access countries, you should attend the D6 Conference. If you are concerned about the influence of the Church in America, you should attend the D6 Conference. If you are concerned about the future laws and policies of our country, than you should attend the D6 Conference. Why? Because the future of our nation will depend on the influence that the Church has in our culture. If trends continue, more and more students will continue to leave the church and will not embrace Christ as truth, love, and hope for their generation.
If churches, ministers and leaders do not make some strategic and intentional changes in the way we disciple students and families, than we will continue to see a shift in influence not only in our cultural context, but in the face of world evangelism; for without a strong home base, we can not send out missionaries into new frontiers and restricted areas of the world where the gospel is so desperately needed.
The answer is found in the way that we come along side the emerging generations. Churches and parents must be intentional about the way we cooperate to raise up spiritual champions for Christ. So, if you are in the business of influencing the future generations and leaving a spiritual legacy for years to come, than please take a serious look at the D6 Conference.
If you were to look at the database of those who have registered thus far you would see children’s ministers, student pastors, family pastors, senior pastors, Sunday school teachers and small group leaders, parents, CE ministers, and the list goes on. Churches are getting intentional about creating an integrated strategy for what spiritual discipleship looks like from birth to young adulthood.
