Question: In each chapter of the book, readers will encounter a man named Jake; tell us
more about Jake and his purpose in the book.
Stan: Jake is a good man with a great wife and two wonderful children. He loves music and sports and
spends way too much time with his ipod and ESPN.
Question: ReThink Your Life focuses on four different phases of personal change what are those phases?
Stan: 1. Dextoification-a time to eliminate mental junk food
2. Realignment-a time to reconnect with your beliefs
3. Reinforcement-a time to determine your values.
4. Perseverance-a time to roll up your sleeves and stay the course
Question: The first step you describe is detoxifying your mind; tell us about that phase.
Stan: I call this period mind by design. It requires a media fast and a focus on the scriptures.
