Next week is a big week for me and I am excited.  My book Shelter will be released on Tuesday and my baby girl Zoe will be born on Wednesday, provided they move forward with inducing Abby.

I am amazed by how many people I counsel who grew up in homes where their parents didn’t attend church.  You would think right here in Oklahoma, the buckle of the Bible belt, that people would attend church as kids.

Sometimes life can throw things at us that are extremely difficult.  Its how we react to these things that shape our character.  A friend of mine wrote a song about this that I think you will find encouraging.  Here are the lyrics:
