The Divine Design

In chapter one of Shelter you will be challenged to adopt a divine vision for your family.  Its based on Deuteronomy chapter six where God tells Moses how a family is to function. The West is intoxicated by stuff and our preoccupation with stuff keeps us from focusing on the majors in life.  It is vital for us to be intentional with the development of our familes just like we are with our careers.  We can change our culture by adopting a divine vision for our familes to be places where people feel safe, learn, and have fun.  If we are not intentional about this it probably won’t happen.  I believe many parents realize this too late and end up with a lot of regret.
