Get-R-Done
Life can be overwhelming! I have 5 small children, my wife, 2 dogs, 2 horses, a growing ministry with a Christian school and early learning center, speaking engagements, family, friends, personal hobbies etc., that all deserve my attention. How do I maintain energy and stay levelheaded? Here’s my secret:
Colossians 1:29 To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.
God pours His energy into my life when I practice the spiritual disciplines. This is how I Get-R-Done!
This seems in some ways so backwards. Basically,by adding more to our plates(spiritual disciplines), we become more productive people. Funny how God works! I need to remember this every time i deciide that I don’t have “enough time”.
I know that the joy that I find in my work provides fuel for the productivity that I am finding and that joy is light by what I am finding in my discovery of the Lord.
