We Lost A Saint
Today I lost a friend and the world lost a saint. Buck Bewley was 84 years old and I had the honor of shepherding him for a decade. During that decade Harrah Church went through many changes and Buck stood by my side the entire way. When we transitioned the worship style at Harrah Church to a more modern and relevant style I know it wasn’t Buck’s preference but he was willing to sacrifice his preference to reach the youth of our culture. He loved the Word of God and he loved me. He was a constant encouragement and I will miss looking out and seeing him when I preach. Buck loved his family and he was a man of God. I visited with his family today and we talked about some of his favorite scriptures. They brought me his Bible to look through and we had a God moment. The first page I turned to had my name written at the bottom. The following scripture is what he had marked.
(2 Timothy 4:6) For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure.
The World needs more like him.
Services are 2:00 pm at Harrah Church.

Him and his wife are very special people and he will be missed.
I agree, Bro. Jimmy. He was a wonderful man of God and we loved him, even Emma. We visited with them a couple of weeks ago and she gave him a kiss goodbye. He will be greatly missed.
My family and I went to church with the Bewley for many years. We love them all very much, and we will truly miss him. Yes, he was a saint. Now he will join all the others.
I agree with your comments about Buck Jimmy. He will be greatly missed. Prayers to the family…
Buck was a wonderful man of God. He is missed. I plan to join him in heaven some day.
I will be praying for Daphene and family.
