The mission of Harrah Church is to fully develop people in Christ.  Healthy development requires people to be self-feeders.  We cannot fully develop by listening to a sermon or two a week.  We must be willing to go deeper.

A couple of weeks ago I asked for people to share how their faith in Christ has allowed them to overcome their difficulties.  Kris Stevens shared her story in a comment and many of you wanted to see the video.  Here is her comment and a link to the video. 

This past weekend was one of the most rewarding weekends of my life.  It all started with my birthday on Friday.  I turned the big 40.  Its true and I am no longer in denial—I’m getting older but I felt special the entire day.

Man I appreciate all the prayer and encouragement my family has received from the Body of Christ.   Last Thursday my dad lost feeling in his legs and collapsed.

Could somebody please sign up to help?  Recruiting volunteers has never been difficult for me personally but I have noticed that there are several leaders inside our ministry who struggle with getting people to make the commitment.

Last night I taught our memebership class and 27 people joined the Harrah Church community. That ’s encouraging!
