Life can be overwhelming!  I have 5 small children, my wife, 2 dogs, 2 horses, a growing ministry with a Christian school and early learning center, speaking engagements, family, friends, personal hobbies etc., that all deserve my attention.

This past weekend was one of the most rewarding weekends of my life.  It all started with my birthday on Friday.  I turned the big 40.  Its true and I am no longer in denial—I’m getting older but I felt special the entire day.

Christmas is a time when many people have to deal with rejection. You may be traveling home for Christmas to face a situation where you have never been accepted for who you are. I don’t have any personal experience of rejection from my family but I know someone who has.

Last week I had the privilege of emceeing at the first D6 conference hosted by Randall House Publishing.  It was an amazing event and I commend Randall House for their leadership within the Kingdom. 

I attended the Holbrook Family Reunion this past weekend and enjoyed a great time with aunts, uncles, and lots of cousins.  Joel my oldest didn’t want to leave when it was time to go.  Joel’s crying brought back memories of my childhood.

When I was a kid and I wanted to go skating on Friday night I always started by asking my mom if I could go.  She always said, “Ask your father.”  So I would go to my dad and say, “Dad can I go skating mom said it was okay?”

I am really getting stoked about the D6 Conference coming up September 23-25.  I am helping emcee the event and had a conference call with the other emcees (Mark Matlock and Ryan Rush).

Marriage is amazing!  I mean God created this incredible institution where two people are brought together and complete each other.  What blows me away is that no one on this planet knows me better than Abby, and she still loves me.

When your kids are at home they ought to feel safe.  This is pretty easy for me right now because my children are 7, 6, 4, 1, & brand new.  When my little girl says, “Daddy I’m scared of the dark”,  I simply tell her not to worry because we have an alarm and it [...]
