God loves beggars! When Jesus said blessed are the poor in spirit I believe He had prayer in mind. A person who is poor in spirit is a spiritual pauper. Paupers rely on others for relief. They get so desperate they are willing to beg for assistance.

Satan dreads nothing but prayer. The Church that lost its Christ was full of good works. Activities are multiplied that meditation may be ousted, and organizations are increased that prayer may have no chance.

Beware of the trap of meaninglessness. It is so easy to be controlled by what others think. The clothes we wear, the cars we drive, the homes we buy, etc., are all chosen to reflect our identity.

We all have things in our life that we want to change. But changing those things can seem impossible to accomplish. People often work hard trying to change their behavior with willpower. When I try to change something in my life with willpower alone I get frustrated and usually fail miserably.
